With as much as 15% of the U.S. population lacking health insurance, one is forced to wonder what would happen if there was suddenly an outbreak of disease. Too many people could die, and it would just be a tragedy.|Anyone who does not have health insurance today is simply not reading the writing on the wall. The interesting thing is that that writing could never have been clearer. You can’t afford every type of medical care that there is, but your insurance can.
Think of health insurance as something to give you access to many types of treatment you might never have been able to afford. Now in the hospital, you can rub shoulders with the richest of them.|You are smart if you know well enough to get health insurance. Smarter if you really couldn’t afford it but you thought something up. Say, you could bring a couple of guys together and pool your funds for some kind of group health insurance plan. That way you know you should stay alive a lot longer, and in better health.|Many people walk into hospitals and get them the best medical care imaginable. You take a look at them and wonder how they could afford it. They take a look back and tell you it was their health insurance. You should have known that.
Medical care should not be as expensive as it is, but it is. You may not have thought about it, but there are so many medical procedures you could never afford on the salary that you make. And that is why you need health insurance. That at least should help you pay the medical bills if you somehow ended up needing that kind of medical attention.|If you are going to take health insurance at all, be sure that you are getting a comprehensive health insurance package. A package that can take care of you in all instances is a lot better than one which will select illnesses to pay for. What’s to say you will not catch a cancer and need chemotherapy, as opposed to having an accident?
Even if you already have health insurance, you can afford to make it better. There are clauses you can include in your policy that can get you better care. Also, however good your current health insurance plan is, it can be better if you can pay a better monthly premium for it. So why don’t you call your insurer now and work things out a bit?|People who are not adequately covered by health insurance should do something about it. They could try finding a different carrier who can give them concessions. But they must not sit down doing nothing.|It is not an easy thing to give medical treatment pro bono; the doctors do have families to provide for. That is why medicare is so expensive. And that is why you just have to have health insurance.
